Services
Our services and activities are intended to help build a Nigerian society where
all people, irrespective of age, ethnic, religion and status, have an equal
opportunity and access to health services and education. Also our activities are
designed mainly to benefit the underserved communities in Nigeria and millions
of Nigerians at the bottom of the pyramid, by addressing the critical issues
most pertinent to the health and well-being of today’s society. We strive to
provide the right skills, information and knowledge on modern health delivery
systems that people of all ages require to live safe and healthy lives.
In this regard, our services and programmes are geared towards promoting good
health and quality of life, and they include:
• Health education and training of healthcare professionals
• CPD/CME programme, update courses, clinical meetings and interactive
sessions
• Capacity building, and health empowerment seminars, workshops, lectures and conferences, using modern
and cutting-edge health
education techniques, strategies
and tools for the desired impact.
• Advocacy, sensitization and public enlightenment campaign programmes.
• Clinical research, health surveys, and clinical trials.
• Consulting on health and health-related matters.
STRUHI’s CME/CPD Programme
Continuing Medical Education and Continuing Professional Development
(CME/CPD)
CME/CPD is a scheme introduced by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria
(MDCN) to improve the medical and related skills of medical practitioners. This
is crucial to the sustenance of quality of healthcare services in Nigeria, and
to this effect, the MDCN has over the years directed that participation in the
continuing professional development programme is a mandatory requirement for
license renewal by all doctors in Nigeria.
To achieve this objective, we are pleased to announce that STRUHI has been
accredited by MDCN as CME/CPD provider. As an accredited CME/CPD provider,
STRUHI will be offering and providing quality training programmes on regular
basis to medical practitioners and allied healthcare professionals with the
award of Credit Units to enhance their services and provide the basis for annual
renewal of practising licenses by MDCN. STRUHI is uniquely positioned to render
these services and programmes to healthcare professionals, and thus raise the
standard of care delivered to patients and communities. With adequate, modern
and excellent facilities, and key opinion leaders in various medical specialties
as facilitators, STRUHI is well equipped to deliver quality programmes at all
times.

knowledge of healthcare professionals in various areas of medicine as well as
expose our participants to modern and cutting-edge techniques of diagnosis,

The scope and curriculum of our CPD programmes
We offer educational course modules directed to various specialties and primary
care courses. The pattern of the CPD program includes interactive coursework,
quiz based programs and evidence based tutorials. The courses offered include
those dealing with diagnosis and management of medical emergencies, communicable
and non communicable diseases. Skill acquisition and clinical problem solving
cases are also part of the course work offered at STRUHI.

Pattern of CME/CPD Programme
The duration of our CPD courses will depend on the content of the programme but
will range from one to three days and the training modules for these courses
will focus on the above specialties. In this regard, STRUHI is proud to offer:

· Educational materials/Certificates: For all our CPD/CME programme, educational materials in the form of CDs
or soft copies will be made available to all course participants. Also
certificates will be awarded on successful completion of each training module.
